Yesterday, the Korean Nate search site was plastered with news of Park Sihoo-ssi’s return to Korea and his being awarded the coveted Hayllu Star Award at the 2015 Luxury Brand Model Award. It has been a while since there has been so many news articles.
Korean fans must be over the moon, and the rest of Park Sihoo’s fans around the world jumping with joy. This is final confirmation of what has been out on the open grapevine! Now, we know our man will be there to receive this pretigous award. There is no one more deserving!
I hope Sihoorang and Korean fans will go in full force to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza on 27 May 2015 to witness this momentus occassion. I know a small contingent of Chinese fans are already making plans to be there to cheer him on and give him the much needed support. For the rest of us who cannot be there physically, our spirits will be there applauding and standing in ovation to cheer his return!

The news of Park Sihoo winning the Hallyu Award at the 2015 Luxury Brand Model Award (LBMA) was certainly welcoming.
What was more exciting for all of his fans was that he would finally be making his first public appearance after a long time, way overdue in our view! Many devoted Park Sihoo fans around the world have been waiting for this moment – the return of their Hallyu Prince!
During those missing years when Park Sihoo-ssi disappeared from public view, most of his fans kept vigil. Whether in Korea, Japan, China or the world over, many did things they have never done before to make his presence felt and keep his name at the top-of-mind in the Hallyu world.
The thought of his imminent comeback to Korea fills us all with joy and immense emotions.
One Chinese fan wrote a letter to Park Sihoo and his fans posting it on Weibo on 14 May 2015 under her pen name 东说西想, eloquently expressing her view about those missing years:

You would think, out of sight, out of mind. Maybe it might happen to some but for Park Sihoo-ssi, this was not the case. For him, it was absence makes the heart grow fonder.
The man said it himself, after finishing a project, he likes to take a break, a long one. And we all know where he likes to go and what he likes to do. I remember, when I first got to know of him in 2012, he had disappeared for months, no sight or sound until he resurfaced again to promote “Confession of Murder” towards the end of 2012.
The last couple of years have been hard and the days long for his fans due to his self imposed “exile”. Even when he was back in public eye in late 2014 for the filming of “Scent”, he would still disappear for long stretches occasionally.
He has kept his fans waiting. He may be out of sight but not out of mind for sure. His fans kept the torch alive for him, kept the dark forces at bay and kept themselves entertained.
Over the last couple of years, Park Sihoo-ssi’s presence can be found everywhere around the world.
His dramas, particularly, the Princess Man, and the only movie then, “Confession of Murder,’ continue to be broadcasted in different parts of the world from China to Japan, Austin, San Diego and more. Not only that, they won global accolades and nominations in New York, Singapore, Brussels, and Vancouver. Fans also reached out and took it upon themselves to promote “Confession of Murder” where it was screened, Hong Kong, Washington, Montreal, New York and more!
Special projects, notably the signing of a huge China fans banner to proclaim love and support for Park Sihoo-ssi, travelled around the country for close to a year before it was finally presented to him at the time of the Shanghai Fan meeting in February 2015. Park Sihoo’s Reading Rooms sprouted in schools across China and more are being planned.
Park Sihoo fan groups all over the world (official and unofficial) held fan meetings, sans Park Sihoo, in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Hungary … and many more. Fans have kept active and they brought themselves even closer together. The world is without border and everyday, we talk on the web, on Facebook and tweet about Sihoo-ssi, of Sihoo-ssi and for Sihoo-ssi. There is always someone talking or writing or reading something about Park Sihoo at any time, anywhere.
Some people wanted to silent Park Sihoo. However, that sound of Park Sihoo’s silence is definitely defeaning!

I learned a new word today – Logy. I came across it unexpectedly, from a pop-up message of a dictionary apps which I have installed on my iPhone. “Logy” means “lacking physical or mental energy or vitality; sluggish; dull; lethargic”. And it perfectly described the state of my mind. Hmm, is my iPhone turning out to be a smartphone after all that it can read my mood?
So why am I so logy?
It has been all of a month since I had this crazy yes, CRAZY, idea to start ParkSihooSsi.com. Spur of the moment thing it was, with hardly any preparation, just being impulsive. So as can be expected, the first couple of weeks was pretty, pretty tough going. I had no articles in my stash, zilch! Each day started with fresh challenges from ground zero!

Everyday I had to wreck my head on what to write, then write it and translate it into Chinese before I post it. My Chinese is not great (an understatement, in truth!) and as I have not used it for a long while, it was really rusty. Being a first time blogger and wordpress user, this techie idiot had to grabble with all the technicalities involved – and I had to learn everyday (PS: Be prepared, I just might need to migrate my web-hosting very, very soon!).
So all in all, I had very little sleep during this time…I look like a panda, all puffy face and black circles around my eyes!
This one month has been one crash course – and I have learnt a lot. To save me from grieve and catch up on my beauty sleep so that the panda look doesn’t become my signature, I won’t do any posting on weekends (with some special exceptions). Weekend is also time for me to catch up on my writing!
Even Sihoo-ssi needs a power nap now and then
Being a working woman, groundbreaking news on Park Sihoo-ssi will be rare and in between – can’t skive off work to do post! So, my focus will be personal views of what catches my attention and only in English and Chinese, since other languages are beyond me.
So, now you have it, a month’s worth of blogs written and posted to-date. I hope you enjoyed reading them…

今天我学到了一个新词 – “Logy”。这词是我安装在我的iPhone上的字典软件弹出来的。 “Logy”的意思是“疲劳，缺乏精神或体力或活力; 呆滞，沉闷; 昏昏欲睡”。正好描述了我的状态。嗯，我的智能iPhone手机可以体会得出我的心情了吗？
我究竟为什么“Logy“？
已经有一个月了，因为我有个疯狂，是的，疯狂，的主意，开创ParkSihooSsi.com的想法。真是一瞬间的冲动和刺激，几乎没有任何准备。因此，可以预料，最初几周是相当，相当艰难的。我没有文章的存库，完全是空空如也的！每天是个挑战，需要从零开始！
我每天都要伤脑筋，确定写些什么，然后把文章写下来，翻译成中文。可知中文不是我的长处，而且有好长时间都没有用得上，所以非常生疏。作为一个第一次的博客和WordPress的用户，也并非技术人员，我碰到了好多技术上的问题 ，每天都有新挑战！（PS：请做好准备哦，我最近可能需要迁移我的网站服务器，有可能会影响到网站的效果！）。

No, there is no typo error. There will be love after “Love After Love” 🙂
At least that is what we read from the Chinese press. The Chinese film companies backing the movie “Love After Love” released this information to the media when they were promoting the movie at the Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Society pavilion during the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair held in May 2015.
Apparently, a follow-on drama adapted from the movie “Love After Love” is already in the plan and being set in motion. The drama will commence filming at the end of the year and telecast on satellite TV in 2016.
Exactly what this drama is about and whether Park Sihoo-ssi and Yoon Eunhye-ssi will take the leading roles again, there was no indication.
For now, we await in anticipation for the release of the movie “Love After Love. It has been scheduled to hit Korea, China and Japan in August 2015 around Valentine’s Day under the lunar calendar – the 7th day of the 7th month.
You can be sure that Park Sihoo-ssi will continue to receive a lot more love after “Love After Love”!

至少，这是从中国新闻得到的消息。“爱后爱” (“思念爱”的前称）的中国电影制作方在2015年5月举办的第11届中国（深圳）国际文化产业博览交易会，深圳影视产业协会馆发布的信息。
根据“思念爱”电影改编的电视连续剧已经在计划和运行中。预计今年年底开机，2016年登陆各大卫视黄金档。
究竟施厚君和伊恩惠是否将扮演“思念爱”电视剧里的男女主角，现在还没有任何迹象。
我们目前期待着“思念爱“电影的上映，在韩国，中国和日本预期会在七夕情人节那段时间播出。
可以肯定的是， “爱后爱”后厚厚会累积更多爱！

I know, I know, it is Saturday and I have said I will give myself a break and not post anything on weekends. However, today, 16 May 2015, is a big day! A day for celebration, so I have to make an exception!
As I was writing the headline “Scent in Japan”, this song kept playing in my mind, with rhythm to sync with what I have written. It was a hit song from long ago by German band, Alphaville. “Big in Japan!” As the title of the song suggests, the song revolves around people who made it big in Japan when their home markets were not treating them well. I thought, wow, so apt!

Weekend is almost upon us, here’s something on the lighter side…
Over the years, I have kept alot, and I really mean ALOT of photos – what I took myself, what other people took of or for me and what I downloaded from the web. My collection was getting so massive, my laptop storage was maxed out, so I had to find another way of managing them. My brother said I needed to keep up with the times and have them stored electronically in the cloud rather then physically on my laptop.
Ok, so I gave it a try and I had to tidy up my photo library. Among my Park Sihoo collection were a few series of caricatures which I came across some ago.
One of this was a collection of figurine caricatures of Park Sihoo as Prosecutor Princess’ Seo In-woo. I thought they were so cute and portrayed the mannerism and distinctive style of Seo In-woo to perfection. Don’t you just love Lawyer Seo’s dressing and adorable looks?
The other series which I kept and I believe could have come from the same creator was that of Park Sihoo as the Princess Man’s Kim Seungyu or “三少”, “Third Son” as they call this dandy of a man.
I also had a traditional cartoon rendition of the characters in the Princess Man, equally cute and perfect portrayals. They have those eyes which I really love from animated Japanese cartoons and the details of the old Korean costumes are just gorgeous!
My hats off to the creators, unfortunately, I can’t give credit where credit is due as these photos have been passed from website to website and have no source. Nevertheless, I want to say “many thanks” to those who must love Park Sihoo-ssi and the characters he portrayed so much that they spent hours pouring over pen and paper (or maybe the computer) to create these wonderful caricatures and then sharing them.

今天是周五，周末就到啦 :)，今天的博文稍微放松点…
多年来，我收藏了很多照片。 一些是我个人拍摄的，一些是别人帮我拍摄的，一些是我从网上下载的。我的收藏越来越多，多到我的笔记本电脑硬盘都爆了，所以我必须找另一种方式来处理我的照片。我弟弟说我需要跟得上时代，用云端存储平台来管理和保存我的照片，不要再储存在笔记本电脑里了。
好的，我就尝试呗。在这个过程中，我需要打理我的照片库存。就这样，我发现在我的施厚君收藏里有几个系列的漫画人物。
一个系列是施厚君在检察官公主里扮演的徐仁宇的雕像漫画。我觉得他们好可爱，把徐瓣的独特风格和衣着都描绘得很完美。你可否喜欢徐瓣可爱的漫画容貌？
我一直相信原创公主的男人金承琉或“三少”的一系列雕像漫画是同一个人。他把“三少”画成风度翩翩的公子哥儿了，跟韩剧里的金承琉一模一样。
我也收藏了另一系列的传统卡通公主的男人里的人物，他们也同样可爱。他们有那些日本漫画里的大眼睛，穿着华丽带有好多细节的韩服。
我非常感谢画家分享的创意，不幸的是，因为这些照片是通过网络传出的，并没有原创者的名字，所以不能注明来源。在这我只能说非常感谢妳深爱施厚君，愿意花好多时间来创造这些漫画人物，并跟大家分享。
